    •  It's Portland, Maine (0+ / 0-)

not Portland, Oregon.  I know Portland, Oregon is pretty liberal.  I genuinely don't know one way or another about Portland, Maine, but I thought I'd point it out since when many/most people see "Portland," they assume the Oregon city.

Our beloved C&J author could take on this Frain fellow in  a mud-wrestling contest mayhaps???...it would have to be scheduled soon (hard to find mud once there is a heavy frost).

I know who I would bet on to win!

        indeed 'librul'.

Those of us in CD#2 count on them heavily in federal statewide races...bigtime.

The majority of Maine voters are unenrolled (no party affiliation).

The Dems in CD#2 (overall) tend to be more DLC-like.

It's painful to live here, in that regard.

You have to know where the "pockets" exist; as some progressives reside rurally ('cuz it can be geographically stunning in those smaill rural red towns)--but otherwise, a PITA during GOTV & winning.

Maine is more purplish than not.

I am very familiar with all things Maine. Portland Maine is a pretty liberal city.
