Horne is well liked, has actually served, and is now anti-war. I meet him when he was running in the Congressional primary and he was very personable. Back then he was not too keen on single payer health insurance but he didn't seem very educated on the issues so he could come around.

Oh my god! A sitting senator challenged by his own party! How can this be! We can't allow this incivility to happen!

      What?

Oh, it's REPUBLICANS doing the attacking?

Oh, that's okay then. Carry on.

Andrew is an experienced litigator, but was fairly stiff when it came to public speaking during the last campaign. Since then, though, he's put in a lot of time in the public eye, particularly as the senior advisor for VoteVets.  He's also had some time to digest the issues and become a better rounded candidate. He does have a knack for phrasing his progressive positions in a way that won't alienate conservative voters.
