  •  But without the documents themselves (3+ / 0-)
Jindal can just claim that the quotes are made-up. Like he's doing now.

    We need the documents themselves.

    •  You can buy them (2+ / 0-)

The Fair Use Doctine would allow you to publish the magazine's masthead, table of contents, title of the article, and then excerpts of selected sentences, scanned so they appear in the same typeface, same margins and page numbering, etc., making it very difficult to deny with a straight face the authenticity of the quotes.

      •  I agree (0+ / 0-)

The Fair Use Doctrine would certainly be applicable here.  Does anyone have more information about what the New Oxford Review alleged and/or a copy of the letter that they sent to DailyKos? I would hate to think that we caved simply because of their threats.

      •  I suggest a "redacted" PDF (0+ / 0-)

Make a Xerox, black out any other articles, and irrelevant portions of these articles, and provide that PDF as proof that he wrote it.  Explain that the redactments are for copyright reasons and if he complains challenge him to release the whole document.
