    I allow myself to sit back and imagine what someone not that many years ago would have made of this sentence:

    ...a hacker stole a bunch of cookies...

    The reaction, even just what, 30 years back? Would have been "Huh? Some heavy smoker stole your oatmeal raisins? Say what now?"

    Games for old people I suppose. It does just tweak that same curiosity I've had for ages, dying to be able to peek just 100 years ahead and see what it's like.

    I remember Carl Sagan telling of a dream in which he was reading the history of the world, then got to the present and realized that there were quite a few pages to go still in the book. Excited beyond measure, as he turned the page past the present day however, everything he read was word salad. He could see that it was language, but couldn't make out a word.

    Actually, coming full circle to my first point above, he was sort of right.

      Doubt anyone could guess what it could be 15 years ago or so.
