  •  I want to support MSNBC because they have (10+ / 0-)

Olbermann on. But it ain't easy. I keep it on while I'm going about completing chores and other things. Even listening with half an ear, some of their broadcasting is still difficult to endure.

Their news sucks, 'Predator' is getting on my last nerve, and I can't handle the 'Lockup' garbage. (I know it's cheap but all that gets you is cheap garbage.)

I cannot bear Tucker. I want to slap that supercilious smirk right off his face. I change the channel when he comes on. (He's unbearable even when I'm only half-listening.)

Chris Matthews has been better lately but I make no extra effort to watch him. If I've changed back after Tucker, I'll catch him (and if I'm lucky, it will be one of his less-slurpy days). If I miss the Drooler, oh well. Life goes on.

The show I don't miss is Countdown. He comes on here at 5pm and 9pm. I watch both airings.

Watching KO has the same effect as coming to dKos - I am reassured that I am NOT crazy, there are other people who see the same things I do.

Watching their other programming only reminds me how egregious some broadcasting can be.

I'm watching cooking shows today (well, not really watching, just on for the background and soothing subject matter) because all of the so-called cable news shows are replaying Dianna's funeral, from 10 years ago!  And pap about her early life, using video from their files, which is inexpensive for them.  Is there really an audience for this stuff?  And what advertisers pay for advertising during the airing of such crap?  I don't know how they get away with it, but would like to see the ratings for a day like this.  I'm sure the rest of the weekend and Labor Day will be just as bad.

I have saved the DVD set of the 10th season of Stargate SG-1 for this weekend's viewing. (Comcast still can't figure out why I can no longer get the Sci-Fi channel anymore while I still pay for it, but that's a rant for another day.)

Today, I'm doing the housework (if I ever log off here) and laundry.

Tomorrow, I play in URU, an online game I've loved for years - after a ride through this place.

Monday, it's the kids and grandkids and great grandkids and hot dogs and rootbeer floats and board games and dominoes in the backyard.

My weekend is pretty much planned out and Diana TV has no place in it.

      •  You guys are watching entirely too much TV (0+ / 0-)

Going out for a walk more often would probably be much better for your physical and mental health.  Just a friendly suggestion.  Turn those people off, it only encourages them.
