First of all, it's unfair to characterize South Carolina as the most GOP state in the union. That honor probably belongs to Utah, followed closely by Idaho and Wyoming. And in the South Carolina Democratic primary, most voters will be African-American, with disproportionate representation of women as well. So that seems like an excellent state to have a seat at the table.

And while I agree that Florida deserves an early primary, and think the whole delegate-stripping thing may be overkill, Florida knew what it was doing when it broke both national parties' rules.

The Republican Party is neither pro-republic nor pro-party. Discuss!

due to GOP gerrymandering--they aren't going to fix it just to help the Democrats

They are loving the show, in fact...

Secondly, SC is the most conservative state in the union.  That is why the fundies group "Project Exodus" picked SC for their members to move to in order to "secede" from the union.

SC was leading the way trying to sucede from the union years before the rest of the south was on board. They even threatened (and almost did) secede from the confederecy as the other members weren't moving quick enough to reestablish the slave trade. Think about that.
