    if you want bike paths, go to austin where the people who pay the taxes want them. i doubt the people in brenham want to pay more money so that people from houston can come ride their bikes on the local roads. sorry, but that's the way the funding cookie crumbles.

    that said, i sure do miss a ride through your area when the spring flowers are in bloom.

      Thanks for the information.  I had heard that it's a county road so that would mean the people in Washington County pay for it.  Obviously a county as small as Washington County doesn't have the funds to pay for it.  Surely there must be state money to support scenic highways.
