    He's an Iraqi-American who has seen his country destroyed.  His point of view is that the scale of violence would not have occurred unless the US toppled Saddam without a plan.  It's hard to impeach his point - impossible really - and I don't think he was attempting to divert blame from militias and insurgents, who also deserve condemnation for the slaughter.

      He repeatedly attributed positions to me that I do not hold and did not declare or imply.  

      As for the point that none of this would have occurred had the US not invaded, I think I made that point clearly in comment to which he linked, and I think I made it clearly in the post I wrote last night, to which he responded.  

      The revolution will not be televised, but we'll analyze it to death at The Next Hurrah.
