  •  And what about Iranians? (0+ / 0-)

They have two nuclear superpowers finalizing nuclear-based bombing campaigns and sounding the horns of war.

Neither Israel nor Iran are innocent victims. They're both aggressors.

...Iran has helped numerous proxies attack Israel; the converse is not true.  There is a deep imbalance of aggression between Iran and Israel.

Just because Israeli security agencies are more covert, does not mean they're sitting on their hands.

Training anti-Iranian groups is pretty much what Iran is doing with anti-Israeli groups.

...much of anything Hersh has written regarding Iran; so much of it has already turned out not to be true.

And the Mossad simply doesn't have hundreds of agents that can be in all those places.  That is part of a fantasy about the omnipotence of the Mossad, not based in any particular reality.  While I am sure they have agents in Iranian Kurdistan, Israel does not have the Special Forces capabilities of the US when it comes to training insurgents, and they have a lot of other concerns far more pressing than creating rebellion in Iran.

There is considerable evidence for Iranian involvement in many anti-Israel groups.  Even taking that article at face value, there is no comparison on the part of Israel.

        •  Well, it's slightly different in one respect... (1+ / 0-)

Hamas and Hezbollah, being elected representatives of their own people have more legitimacy in accepting foreign aid.

But you're right to draw this oft-understated parallel.

      •  If Israel has not sent proxies to attack Iran, (0+ / 0-)

that would make Iran about the only country in the neighborhood that hasn't been subject to Israel's interest and attention.

...Saudi Arabia?  Yemen?  The UAE?  Kuwait?  Bahrain?  Qatar?  Afghanistan?

Seems like there are quite a few nations in that neighborhood which have not received much Israeli attention.
