  •  If Kos is right (6+ / 0-)

A good chunk of Obama's performance in previous polls was due to freepage rather than organic support. Clinton's uptick is probably simply due to lack of dilution by Obama freepers (remember that the percentages have to add up to 100, so one candidate's loss must be another's gain).

    •  I also think that Clinton has campaigned well, (7+ / 0-)

her supporters have made her case well on this site and she voted correctly on the Move On issue.  All of these things can contribute to her support increasing.

        •  What impact did that have on Richardson voters? (1+ / 0-)

I didn't see this poll until lunch time today - when the poll was already closed.  Many of his supporters are in Western states on Pacific Time.

Plus, it doesn't surprise me he polled lower.  You have posted multiple negative diaries on him over the past month while largely ignoring Richardson's Op Eds and other key statements, as well as the most significant exchange to date in the debates among the candidates in the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination:

Only Richardson gets it on Iraq.  He understands that by the U.S. remaining in Iraq, we unwittingly perpetuate the war.  Our troops have become the targets in a civil war.  The Iraqi government, in turn, is dependent on the U.S. for security that the Iraqis themselves should provide.  Richardson notes: "The Iraqis won't take the necessary steps toward political reconciliation until the U.S. makes it clear that it will leave the country for good."

Bill Richardson on CNN 8 days before war: "What's the rush, really? .[Iraq] is a threat, but it's not an immediate threat. .Let's be calm. Let's be patient."
