Well, nothing is quiet and calm now!  The DCCC's original comment struck me as boilerplate enough that it would have probably passed by unnoticed by the press and just about everyone, leaving them plenty of space to decide to either support Ms. Schrader or recruit a different candidate if they so preferred.

I guess what I'm trying to say, Kos, is I think wearing your heart on your sleeve is a great thing  in the current political climate, but counterproductive to do the same so quickly when dealing with our own people.. seems a small disagreement has been blown way out of proportion.

It would be a very bad thing if first-time candidates in the Democratic Party came to see fundraising & seeking support from the blogosphere as playing with fire.

    •  Your Criticism Is Understandable (none)
It doesn't seem, though, quite so problematic, given that Markos is criticizing operations staff.  If he were grumbling about a candidate's actions, I'd want to see evidence of severe wrongdoing.  Perhaps Kos' commentary was over the top.  Me, I'd be disturbed to see his criticism in a flowing snobbish Buckley-esque so-much-smarter-than-thou essay.

I'd hope to believe, Daria, that you don't think we should remain quiet if we see the party infrastructure failing ...

      •  Well.. (none)
Actually, I kind of feel like it would be better to be more diplomatic as regards operations staff - these aren't people putting themselves out there in the public eye as much as candidates.

Come again re: what I think?

If I couldn't find a happy medium between being a total snob and swearing at people, I'd be a Republican.
