...because otherwise HRC is likely to win the nomination.

If he believes she will do what he believes the next President needs to do, he'll stay out and continue to stay mute about it -- while people who might otherwise support others hold onto their contributions waiting for a candidacy that will never happen.

If he's not convinced she's the right choice, he'll do a Sherman at the earliest possible opportunity.

    Or run.

      more than a tease.

He is taunting the other candidates, and the electorate, over their limited vision.

Why Gore Will Not Run is my latest diary. I would appreciate your comments, even long after it "passes."

    •  It's not about Hillary. I really don't think she (0+ / 0-)

is part of his thought process, or at least she shouldn't be.  It should be Gore thinking what is best for the country, or what is best for the issue of Global Warming.  If he says he truly believes he is making more of a difference NOT being a political figure and will continue to make a difference this way, than he will make the right choice.  If however, he thinks the best thing for the country/GW is to run, albeit reluctantly, for President, than that is what he should do.  The other candidates are peripheral and may be a small factor in his decision, but only a small factor.  I'll trust his decision.  Selfishly, I think it's to run.  Gore will run!
