I also just came up with a better title for this piece, though it is too late:

This Door is too Heavy and my Back is too Weak

..it was appreciated, both in the specific (I just lost an opprotunity based on the scenario I described in my comment on your diary -- this is as close to the bone as it gets) and in the general -- inclusive protection is a profoundly important issue.  I don't know where one spends little gold transie points, as I don't believe in an afterlife and there's no public exchange, but you got a huge, huge pile from me:)

I did one too, though I referred to it only in general terms when I had my first turn at TC last night.  I do think they all count.  I think that this site has both radicals -- in the best sense of the word -- and folks who are looking for some compromise that will let them hope for decent lives, and that's that.  What seems and feels unfortunate to me is that it's being framed as an either/or between those groups -- it was a squeak it in compromise to include trans and gender variant folks in ENDA, not to dump them.  Frank reframed this beautifully.  Sigh.

While it's done for this year, the next week will see some positions established that may have a really big impact on the eventual outcome.  All the information and the broad view help.  A lot.
