    I don't like his politics (except when he turned on Fredo, too), but I do know, seemingly, to "some people", one of his and Pryor's Alabama GOP operative buddies was a key witness against Siegelman, that the Alabama USAs office appears to be a wholly-owned-division of the GOP and that, well, just read for yourself.

    If it raises questions, and those questions get asked, a lot, then it can't hurt.  Even if Sessions wins re-election, if whomever the Democratic nominee is makes his life hard and, in turn, makes the National GOoPers feel the need to put some time and money into the thing, then that's just so much time and money that won't be going into some other GOP campaign in another part of the country . . .
