told the nice young lady that it was really important for the Senator to place a hold on the FISA (now with retroactive iminity!). She said she would and that they were getting some calls on this issue.

      Keep the pressure up!

Amos forgot his DKos password, so he's using mine:

Thank you everyone for calling to voice your opinion and ask for Senator Dodd to take action to stop this FISA legislation. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to receive all of your calls and apologies in advance to those of you who find my voicemail full. Again, I greatly appreciate your efforts to contact me on this. Everyone at the Dodd campaign cares deeply about the rule of law and this issue is very important to all of us, and for Senator Dodd as well.

Thank you once again and I'll have Matt keep you posted on any developments.

      Sincerely,
      Amos Hochstein

Disclosure: I proudly work for Senator Chris Dodd's presidential campaign.

Now all we need is for Sen. Dodd to put a hold on this crappy bill and things will be moving in the right direction!

        Matt, thanks for the update!

      •  Well tell Mr.Hochstein its time to put youre (2+ / 0-)

        MONEY where youre MOUTH is.

If RepubliNazis can use procedural loop holes to ram this bill down the MAJORITY's throat, we can use em to start the bill all over or place a hold as discussed above.

By the way, this is EVERYTHING Jr. High shcool civics taught us America should fear. Un checked power in ANY branch of government. The loss of Privacy. It IS without a doubt 1984. No doubt in my mind that this country is fucked and my family and I are going to have to leave.

I type that with tears forming in my eyes. I love my cuountry.

And I do indeed FEAR my government.

I think what we are working towards in this country is going to divide families like the civil war did, and its an unfortunate thing that Democrats for the last 50 years have benefited from the assumption that they are the lesser of two evils.

I think that went out the window today.
