"Bandwidth exceeded" means that they've banned your account from being able to show pictures to anyone else but yourself. It has nothing to do with how many pictures you had loaded into the account, it has to do with how many people saw them. Even a single picture viewed by a few hundred poeple within an hour or so will get your free account blocked.

The thing will reset over time (days probably) but not soon enough to let people see the pictures in the diary, and then as soon as they do, it will block them again.

Photobucket simply wants you to pay them money to be able to show a picture to more then a few people in a short period of time. A prominent Kos diary is guaranteed to exceed the puny bandwith which is given to you for free.

In short: Photobucket doesn't work for this, unless you pay them money. You need to find more forgiving host or spread the load amongst many picture hosting sites.

    •  ok, i got it now and fixed (0+ / 0-)

i am so techie dummie. i saw the pics, and now i understand why others did not. thanks for explanation.

but then i deleted tons of pics from pb, thinking that was what they wanted.

now i am supposed to have unlimited bandwidth according to pb, so this should never happen again, right?

in any event, think i will check out flickr cause a siegel says never had problem there.
