  •  A very long time (14+ / 0-)

since I've been here. And a hearty hello to you all.

Today I must plant some cyclamen I've left hanging in their four inch pots for weeks. These sturdy chaps will take up residence on my front porch once I move them in. Here's something I never knew about those hearty cyclamen -- they're not just for winter. I've one plant that withstood the hottest summer days of wilting, direct sun you could imagine, days when I had to water every morning with direct sun on my patio wilting everything in sight. The cyclamen bore right through it. A couple of yellow leaves, but it was a trooper.

here in san francisco, then water them more as this time of year approaches, and they come back. I have them in small pots, so I can move them to less obvious place in summer.

      Have fun planting!
