    I teach high school online. A large portion of our students are evangelical. I believe you will see this generation accelerate the trends. Yes, even those still religious (some reject their parent's religion, most do not) could care less about gay marriage, are a lot less concerned about sex in general, don't see science as a threat; and are furious at Bush and the war. In many of their homes economic issues are more important than culture. Survival tends to do that.

      some of our commenters have fixed images of Pat Robertson in their heads. That's not a forever thing.

      Not sure what region of the country you're in, but once these kids get out into college most of that will fade away.  High school kids are still under the sway of their parents.

      Trust me, Evangelical Christianity doesn't have long.
