  •  I've known this friend for a bazillion years (5+ / 0-)

and back in the 2004 election, I asked her who she was voting for and she said, "The Republican, of course!" I asked why and she said that she's anti-abortion and a social conservative and felt the Republican candidate would honor the values that are important to her.

Now, because of the war and the parade of sexual scandals and the way this administration is shafting the poor, she's so pissed that she's no longer aligned with the party. She saw "An Inconvenient Truth" on her daughter's recommendation and embraced the message and was deeply impressed by the messenger.

She called me the morning that Gore won the Nobel, knowing that I'd be happy with the news and --get this-- she's as enthusiastic as I am about him entering the race!

I tell ya, the GOP is on shakey shakey ground.

"Be yourself. Everybody else is taken."
