They work for the American government.  Following your theory, millions of government employees should walk off the job if they didn't or don't support the current occupant of the White House.  That's not how it does or should work.  Besides, if you're committed to diplomacy, you're likely to wait out Bush and try to do some good when the next administration comes in.

      •  Millions in the govt walking out (0+ / 0-)

Maybe that's not the way it's supposed to work, but damn, I'd love to see that.

For the State Department people to just walk out.
Followed by the entire CIA staff.
Followed by anybody in the govt who ran across the heavy hand of Bushies, scientists, anybody of conscience in places like the EPA, NASA, etc, etc, etc.

If they can financially do it, they can always get rehired by the next administration. If I were a candidate for the preznit, I'd promise them their job back if they should quit the government for reasons of conscience.

I mean, aren't people now saying that all these generals should have resigned rather than to carry out disastrous invasion and post-occupation plans?

And in the end, doesn't that line about millions of little Eichmann's ring just a little bit true?

And while we're at it, let's call a general strike.

          •  Well, that's where we differ (0+ / 0-)

I don't think I'd like a pony. It would be too hard to feed and walk down three flights of stairs, and the hair would get everywhere.

Not to mention that ponies aren't usually litter-trained, so there'd be a lot of pony poop in my apartment, it would grind into the carpet... yeah.

So I have to say no to that one.

Back to the topic at hand, hell, my only association with these ass clowns is that I pay taxes in the US, and I even feel dirty doing that. To know that my money is being spent on those Blackwater killers, the USAF killers, the USMC killers, the CIA torture squads, etc, etc... well, that makes me a bit sick.

If you even pay taxes here, how does that make you feel?
