    I was in fairly dangerous places on occasion: Nicargua under the Sandanistas, in El Salvador during the days of the Mano Blanco, Somalia, Lebanon, Syria, West Bank, and Israel during the suicide bombings. While I would never claim to be hero, I certainly disagree that I was a coward.  

    Lots of other officers certainly took more risks for a lot longer than I ever did and they were just dedicated to doing their jobs. Not cowards at all in my book.
