  •  Religion is the way we teach and learn (0+ / 0-)

about our spiritual life.  Otherwise, we'd be struggling all alone to figure it out.  I'm a Christian because I believe that what Christ was and taught is not only truth but the only way the world can truly be healed and live withouth pain, sorrow, violence.

Dr. King made a statement that I will never forget--that his goal was not simply to gain recognition and respect for the civil and human rights of African Americans.  It was to somehow save the  spiritual lives of those white folks whose souls were sickened by prejudice, violence, and hatred.  That is Christian---and Buddhist, and Muslim.  That is love, and it is religious.

I lost my glasses, and using a magnifying glass (!)could only read part of your diary--what a loss to me.  I'll have to come back to it tomorrow when I can see and write at the same time!  Thank you so much for writin.

She didn't know it couldn't be done, so she went ahead and did it.
