    ...in Los Angeles.  She has all kinds of interesting stories, especially ones about how the G&T students keep her on her toes, as they really want to know how and why something works.  She calls me up from time to time to pick the brain of her brother the college science professor in response to her pupil's questions.  The latest one was about how the bend in the San Andreas Fault has been responsible for the shape of Southern California.  That's a rather advanced question for a sixth grader.  Good thing I have two degrees in geology!
