    yes, a recess appointment of an Addington clone might be somehow "worse," though I think the DoJ is so screwed currently that I'm not sure what difference it will really make as long as Bush and the rest of the cancer still riddle DC.

    However, more than anything else, the Senate and the Democrats need to really be showing they can play hardball, not demonstrating their ability to split hairs and unravel difficult arguments. We can go back to explaining nuanced policy decisions to the public once we've restored some sanity to our government. Things are far too bad to continue with this weak sauce.
