    Since, from over here, I've never seen him, I never even realized until just recently (because of people's comments) that he is, as one person put it, "height-challenged" (what an icky term!).

    Actually, if I had had to consider it, I think I would have pictured him as taller. For some reason, his facial features seem to indicate a taller height. In any case, what is important is that he talks tall. That's certainly better than a big, tall windbag or airhead.

    Over here no one thinks of whether a person's height might be a political handicap. Berlusconi himself is one of the shortest politicians in the current ranks. "Stature" is not a physical quality, but one based on words, deeds, influence, and (where possible) integrity.

    Plus, as they say, "good things come in small packages". Some of the best men I've ever known have been 5'7"-5'8" (including a "Claude" I knew and loved). ;-)
