    When I was commuting by bike in NYC, I worked in an office where a coat and tie was required when visitors came in for a meeting, but otherwise we could be comfy. So a few ties, a dark jacket, and a couple of clean shirts were on a hanger behind my door. I got to be popular for lending out ties.

        Change out of the sneakers only when I had to put on the jacket.

        But the cleaners? An air-conditioned office, a formal meeting or buisness lunch maximum two hours long, three days a week or so. You would not want to know how long my jacket went without seeing a cleaners!
