  •  Sorry But the Vets Set Themselves Up For This-- (5+ / 0-)

We don't have the right to assemble or speak in this country. It's only a privilege these days and we have to use it sparingly and intelligently. Anyone wanting to speak truth to power must be completely deceptive about it.

Register under a patriotic or innocuous name as the Republicans do, wear and carry nothing even remotely confrontational (patriotic is best), don't behave or speak confrontational in any way whatsoever.

--Until you're right there in the moment.

Then you can stand up, speak out, unfurl your signage or whatever, knowing that you'll be seized within a matter of seconds.

That's the only way it's going to work any more other than planned demonstrations in speech zones where the media know it's safe to not cover the event.

We are called to speak for the weak, for the voiceless, for victims of our nation and for those it calls enemy.... --ML King "Beyond Vietnam"
