  •  Dude, you know I'm all *about* The Dead. (5+ / 0-)

But I was born in 84, and was only 11 when Jerry died.  So that explains my handle.  I've got so much Grateful Dead on my hard drive, it's crazy.  Also lots of solo Jerry and JGB.  Have you ever heard the Pizza Tapes?

I'm a little uncomfortable with how they got into the world, but it is some nice music.

There are a few unusual bits that are on the edge of the Dead experience that I have enjoyed over the years.  Have you ever heard "Apocolypse Now, the rhythm sections" soundtrack?  Mickey Hart provided all the atmosphere type background music for the film.  Also, "Not For Kids Only" has some wonderful examples of Jerry's voice.  And the Old and In the Way project is tasty as well.

Even after listening for 20+ years, I still find gems occasionally. Have you heard the Gaelic Park show?  Check that one out for sure, Phil is spot on perfect that day. is America's Blog of Record
