  •  How on earth is this troll-rated? (0+ / 0-)

I feel weird uprating a comment that mentions me by (screen)name, but I've got to because this just looks like trolling based on disagreement.

Also, I have to reiterate that hit-and-run troll-rating -- except when you're the 15th TR piling on in Hidden Comments -- is crappy behavior.  If you trollrate someone, you ought to explain why.

He tried to spam a thread that was devoted to the rememberance of dead soldiers.

      •  Well if that's the explanation (0+ / 0-)

the Heathers are doing a pretty crappy job of harassing their new target, and possibly of picking it.  I just looked at RedStar84's comment page, and it looks to me like her/his last 45 comments have a cumulative total of 1 troll-rating (and a few dozen Recs, at least).

So my Rec stands.  As does my objection to hit-and-run troll-rating.

I've been in and out of TU status more often than Lindsay Lohan's been in rehab.  I forgot (or never realized) that even with TU you couldn't see an individual's hidden comments on their personal comment page.

Yeah, that looks pretty obnoxious.  But I'm still not pulling my Rec.  I really hate the witch-hunting.  As far as I'm concerned, you TR comments, not users.  Doing it that way (a) provides an incentive for people to correct their behavior, and (b) avoids idiotic flamewars.

And thanks for giving me the scoop on this, EH.
