  •  Romney is way ahead of Giuliani for nomination (0+ / 0-)

Aside from these bogus national poling and Giuliani's personal appeal, I'm not seeing any reason why he should be the story at all in the GOP primary.  Romney is clearly in front of Guiliani in this thing.  He leads in IA.  He is way in front in NH.  I haven't seen any SC polling, but that can turn on a dime with wins in both IA and NH.  Also, one would think that with the Mormon connection, Romney would be in very good position in NV.  Romney also has the money, the die hard backers and the hair, it's all about the hair, needed to push on through to the nomination.  I don't see any way, barring a big change in IA, that Romney doesn't win it early.

are partly based on the fact that he's been spending tons on mail and tv in those states. The assumption is that as the primary/caucus dates get closer, other candidates start spending on those things and his inflated lead deflates a bit. Remains to be seen, though.
