    I just want to point out how disingenuous this bill is. If they really wanted to fight homegrown terrorists, they should first look in their own backyard.

    Thanks to 6+ years of Dubya, we are all suffering from "accelerated decrepitude."

      The people you mention are just plain criminals and there are laws on the books that are more than sufficient to nail them given decent enforcement and no politically motivated interference in investigations from above (as seems to happen too often with the FBI). Making crimes about "terrorism" or "hate" or any other emotionally charged term just serves to obscure what is really being talked about and allows the boundaries of investigation to start blurring over into thought-crime type stuff. This bill is just way too obviously the next step in criminalizing dissent against government policies, and anti-war and environmental activists will probably get the brunt of it, not Aryan Nation or the Klan.
