Four years ago, the neocons were gushing at how Dubya was riding high and his "muscular foreign policy" meant that the US will always be the dominant superpower that everyone looks up to. My goodness, and look what's happened in the last few years.

Bush's "muscular foreign policy" has resulted in a failed occupation that continues to weaken our national security as the US is bogged down in Iraq. Our position as a "world superpower" is in deep threat as no one trusts us or respects us any more. Our economy is in the dumps thanks to a weak real estate market (can anyone say "irrational exuberance"?), exorbitantly high oil prices (thanks, Dubya, for NOT letting us invest in renewables), creeping inflation, and broke consumers (see real estate, no mo' easy mortgage money). Wow, so I guess Dubya's quest for empire didn't quite work out as he planned.

Don't blame us... We're turning "The OC" (Yes, that one!) blue at The Liberal OC! : )
