    Here's one for you, did you know that the town right by the Sand Creek Massacre National Memorial site is called Chivington?

      few books have ever affected me as did bury my heart, which i read in junior high, and nothing in that book affected me as did sand creek. very typical that they'd name the town chivington, although i'm half-surprised it isn't called custer.

        last year. I didn't have time to go there.  They don't have road signs up yet, even the ranger at the Washita Massacre said that. He said it was about 10 years behind the one he was at (Washita Massacre).
