Combine drugs, politics, weapons and terrorists and you have a most toxic brew.

Little wonder that Sibel is careful how she reveals her information. If every American had the highlights from her story blasted into their livingrooms on the 6PM evening news tonight, we might well have a different America tomorrow.

because such villainy as she describes is inconceivable to them. Her tale sounds more like the stuff of a Robert Ludlum novel than contemporary fact.

But I believe that at the highest levels of government and business the truth is known, and that Sibel is a very, very brave woman.

you are correct, and that is why she would much rather have a hearing in congress (and for other reasons too) where they could subpoena the documents/wiretaps that she translated.  i.e. PROOF

campaigning for Leahy. I'll see who I encounter on his staff over time. It will take awhile, but this has been cooking for six years and appears to be too hot for anyone to want to deal with yet.

However there are times and tides, and they are shifting. The public has become more suspicious of government, and a change of administration may bring about more transparency in government, or at least that is the fervent hope of millions of Americans.
