I want to know which GOP members he is including. I could be okay with a Joe Wilson or a Lincoln Chaffee. There are plentry of conservatives in disagreement with how Bush has been running things that I don't automatically discount him because of this. That said, if we get news that Rove, Santorum or any other number of those flakes are being included THEN you can count me in on writing him off.

    •  Joe Wilson and Lincoln Chafee=no longer Replican. (0+ / 0-)

Again, this comment would make more sense 15 years ago.   Today, the great majority of choices = scaaaaarey.

What Edwards has said is consistent with how he has created the platforms he has. He believes that a President should not surround himself with just one ideology so that he can a better view of the full picture. In order to persuade the majority you need to be privy to the arguments the opposition can present and address valid criticisms.

by a president at the moment.

      So's Rumsfeld.

Then there's Ashcroft and Gonzales.  Both unattached to a president.

Wolfowitz managed to rise from the dead while John Bolton looks like he's trying to reunite with them.  Guess you might say they're semi-detached.

Colin Powell -- there's another one.

Come to think of it, Cheney will be no-longer nearly presidential himself in a little over a year from now.  He may be desirous of barnacling (to coin) onto another host.

Quite a field to choose from, Mr. Edwards.

Now go out and shoot yourself in the other foot.

They burn our children in their wars and grow rich beyond the dreams of avarice.
