After reading all the commentary on Dkos over the past week about how people were considering not voting for John Kerry because he's basically "George Bush light" my head has been SPINNING and I've been losing sleep. What if I can't tell them apart anymore? What if I think I'm railing away at Chimpy on the tube, only to realize it's really Kerry that I'm assailing. What if I go into the voting booth and even their names look alike?!?

To give myself a shot at sanity... I've made this quick cheat sheet for myself.

John Kerry is the war veteran, junior Senator from Massachusetts, who has the most liberal voting record of any of the hundred legislators in Congress. He's the one who plans on rolling back the tax cuts for the wealthiest ten percent and use that money to fuel job growth, fund education and work toward universal health care. He's the one who will abandon any defense of marriage amendment to the constitution... the one who will immediately reverse four years of environmental carnage...the one will appoint supreme court judges who fundamentally disagree with Anthony Scalia... the one who will support a woman's right to chose. John Kerry is the one who has never been obsessed with Iraq and, if President after 9/11, would never have invaded Iraq.

President Bush is the war-dodger who had his father get his name put on the top of the National Guard so that he'd never see a day of conflict. He is the one who ran for President as a compassionate conservative, but has neither been compassionate nor conservative. He's the one who would like to make his tax cuts for millionaires permanent... the one who wants to amend the constitution to make sure gays will always be second class citizens... the one whose energy policy was written with the help of some of the country's biggest polluters... the one whose Vice-President goes duck hunting with Anthony Scalia... the one whose supporters would like to overturn Roe vs. Wade. George Bush is the one who discussed the overthrow of Iraq at his first cabinet meeting.

Jeez... I still can't tell them apart. Guess I'll vote fer Nader.

Want to beat Bush... it's the LIES, stupid.
