Maybe my memory is off, but I recall HRC having a lead of closer to 15-20 points in New Hampshire a month or so ago, which is now a lead of 10-15.

Plus, the bounce out of Iowa is likely to be in that range, in any event. It has been in the past, including in 2004.

    •  Clinton had a big surge. . (0+ / 0-)

over the late summer, early fall -- right after Labor Day, really -- in which she was touching 50% in a number of polls.  The question is whether she's really falling back from that or that was just an artifact of the campaign starting and people saying "Clinton" reflexively.

      •  I Think We Will See The Numbers Move A Lot... (0+ / 0-)

This month, because a lot of the campaign resources will be expended this month.

        The questions I have:

        1. Will Clinton's numbers hold, and can she even regain some of her big lead with a full campaign push?
        1. Will Obama throw everything into Iowa, or will he try to push for a showdown on 2/5?
        1. Will Edwards be able to keep pace, given his more modest fundraising?
        1. Does ANYONE emerge to be a fourth option for the Dems?

And that is just on the Dems side. The GOP, on the other hand, is a complete MESS.
