can be Rep's or Dem's, never make mistakes, so can't change their minds.  It shows flexibility to give Hillary a fresh look when you''ve had a negative impression, and it seems that Rep non-fatheads like her, and Dem fatheads, have never been wrong and aren't about to change now.  and, of course, vice versa.

My circle is basically upper middle class  and you'd be amazed hwo many Republicans of the old school, not the wet upper lipped kids, think she's great.

It's true. I've observed it many time. A bit like those fifties sci fi movies where the aliens all have a mark, odd ears or something.

The neocons despise her, but a couple of  old school Republicans I know think she'd be, to use their words, "responsible".  One told me that he might vote for her despite "her being so liberal, and wanting a bigger socialist-style government than I might like", because he feels that she would at least be competent at governing.

Their own side is offering them a choice of wacko idealogues or mouthbreathers frantically pandering to various tiny aspects of the wingnut base, not any genuine, thoughtful, responsible, common-sense governing.   Not much to choose from there.

They don't LIKE the fact that Hillary might be their best option, but a few of them have admitted it to me that she might be.

As long as war is regarded as wicked, it will always have its fascination. When it is looked upon as vulgar, it will cease to be popular. - Oscar Wilde
