  •  Whatever happened to.... (none)
Seymour Hersch and his photos/videos of Abu Ghraib sodomy?  Is he saving them for release just before the election, or what?

    •  I think there's more Abu Ghraib coming (none)
On the one hand, in this morning's Philly Inky we have testimony that Lynndie England was just abusing for fun, and that there were never any orders from higher ups. (Obviously the legal team justifying torture and the fact that the same specific torture techniques were used in Texas prisons, then Guantanamo, then Abu Ghraib at the same time one particular Bush appointee was in charge in those places was just coincidental).

Anyway, on the other hand, I have definitely been hearing hints that more torture stuff is coming, particularly by way of the European press. There was a German article (sorry, don't recall specifics) alleging abuse and rape of minors. I heard something about that this weekend in the blogosphere (again don't recall where) so that story is getting legs.

Today (for this one I have a cite) the Guardian reports testimony of British citizens who were held at Guantanamo and eventually released, uncharged.

These were terrorists and that justifies their treatment? Then why no charges?

We need to get that out there into conversation: MANY ABUSEES HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED WITH ANYTHING. I think when we start hearing about kids that is going to become even more obvious.
