maybe the only group in the world that doesn't contract with a lobbying firm. And look at the American middle class about to be wiped off the face of the world.
Even if this legislation on Energy gets passed. The lobbyist are almost immediatly going to start poking holes in it. A little at first but in 5 years its gonna start looking like the US tax code.
HOLY MOLY just look at this war for crying out loud. Hold on my heads about to pop.
There favorite arguement is lobbying is guaranteed under free speech in the constitution.
First of all I've been made painfully aware the Constitutiion doesn't gaurantee squat. The only time congress remembers we have a Constitution is when it serves a lobbyist interest.
Secondly, Congress should not be making lobbying laws due the conflict of interest. They have proven repeatly they cannot overcome this interest to the detrement of the world at large, foegein and domestic.
Thirdly, freedom of speech is not absolute, you cannot tell fire in a theatre and that diatribe. I would argue that corrupting government officials attacks the very soul of the Constitution and has made our Democracy more of a theory than practicality.
The whole arguement looses its ability to carry water because in fact we already have many lobbying laws. They don'y work because Congress can't keep  there freaking hands out of the cookie jar.
So congradulations Kossacks on your improbable win in 06'. And I like you understand the hollowness you all feel today. Damn military industrial complex lobbyist.
Congradulations Global Warmers on your new Energy Bill. Your battle has just begun because I can see the cockroaches headed your way.

Are you trying to upstage my rant?

I'm supporting Edwards, but Mrs. Polecat is supporting Obama. Naturally, you can guess which one of us is over 35.

everybody's only issue. I also get tired of Dems losing debates with Republicans. It's easy. They only use the right side of their brain.
