    collateral is collateral, its not a contribution. And actually the risk assessment based on his worth doesnt mean that collateral would even be necessary.

      An endorsement or guarantee of a bank loan is considered a contribution by the endorser or guarantor and is thus subject to the law's prohibitions and limits on contributions.

        its whether it counts as a personal contribution or not. And since it wouldnt be coming from the person themselves, but from a lending institution to the campaign it seems like it wouldnt.

        Obviously he couldnt get a large loan to himself and then loan it to the campaign, thats not what we are discussing.
