    There are going to be fewer who will be willing to engage in continued obstructionism.  At this point their ace in the hole is the veto.  The fact that they filibuster everything gets a pass because Bush could just veto everything anyway.  Once the only thing stopping us from accomplishing stuff is the filibuster suddenly the narrative changes a great deal.  

    This is the major difference between the situation the Republicans were in between 2001-2007 and where we are now.  Going back to 1994-2000, the fact is the Republicans really did not get a lot accomplished.  Everyone expecting last year's democratic win to usher in a new era seems to have forgotten that we don't have a parliamentary form of government (one of our government's failings frankly).  

    Don't like XOM and OPEC? What have YOU done to reduce your oil consumption? Hot air does NOT constitute a renewable resource!
