that a white guy from North Carolina is more electable than a black guy from Illinois with a father and step-father who were both Moslems? Or than a former first lady who is highly controversial, with an annoying voice and who is distrusted by those of us on the left besides being absolutely despised by the right?

Of course it has never been in doubt but the trick was to get enough Democratic primary voters to see beyond the MSM smokescreen that this was a two person race and to decide for themselves that:
    A. John Edwards is more electable.
    B. John Edwards is more progessive.

It appears that the Iowa Democrats have finally awakened from the MSM smokescreen,If JRE wins on the 3rd,he will barrel thru NH just like Kerry did in 2004 after his surprise win in Iowa. The poll numbers for the MSM darlings will collapse like my Mets did in September and Edwards will be well on his way to the White House and we may start to have real change in this country, the robber barons and imperialists will be on the run.

...I'm saying this as an Edwards supporter.

respect, grannyhelen, electability IS an issue, and so are things like how a candidate looks and speaks.

this is not about MY personal preference or values-- I agree that not enough voters are ready for a black or female president. it is what it is. MY preference is Russ Feingold, but he's Jewish so forget that.

the democrats have inexcuseably lost the past two POTUS elections by making stupid choices. are we going to play smart or not?
