      It's always a trade-off. Compromise is part of life. Democrats right now are trying to balance on a tightrope. We've lost the last 2 presidential elections  by a hair. There is a lot of dissatisfaction about Bush right now, but they have to successfully channel that into votes for Dems.  Meanwhile, they have limited power in Congress, a hostile media, a president that really doesn't give a damn about the nation, and a public that doesn't really know what it wants (if you look closely at the polls about Iraq, that is quite clear).

      Look, I have things to do, so I'll cut this short - there is a lot more to this than simply making everybody happy.

      You vote independent... I'll stick with the party that brought us social security, civil rights, and environmental protection.
