    at Rosebud were very quick to say they were not part of it and knew nothing about it. The Lakota leadership has had plenty of time to disavow Russell and his quest, so far we haven't heard a peep.

    The reservations are hell on earth, The BIA has mismanaged and lost billions of Native funds. As far as I know this has never been settled, while Native Americans live in abject poverty. There is plenty that needs to be fixed and fixed fast, so I say GO RUSSELL!

      that they are no part of it, and so will probably other official Lakota governments.

      That's what the centuries of US "divide and conquer" methods have brought the Native people.

      Like I said, the situation is very complex. There's much disagreement amongst traditionals, those in between, and fully integrated Native Americans.
