    Obviously not in every case. The controversial tapes that got destroyed are of a CIA interrogation. Hell, in SERE school they use all kinds of brutal tactics (on our OWN Soldiers) during mock interrogations in order to help them deal with it, if God forbid, they ever get captured.

    What is and isn't "terrorism" isn't black and white, and many people define it differently. Personally I define it as deliberately targeting civilians for political or ideological gain.

    Saying "torture bad" is very easy, and obviously most people will agree. What's complicated is tackling the really tough and important questions. HOW to effectively extract information is a very important question, and one that nobody seems to want to discuss.
