But you are one hundred percent correct.
I agree with almost everything you wrote.
I should just make that everything.

I finally listened and watched Obama's speech just now after wiping away some more stray tears.
    And just wow.
I felt this rush as he started to talk.
What a message. The way he talks.
I think he towers over Bill in oratory style, and I never thought anyone would top him.
It was one of the best speeches I ever heard.
The adoration of the crowed - I remember that feeling well.
The picture on Huffington Post of the two of them?
It reminds me of the Camelot pictures of JFK and Jacquie.
    They looked gorgeous.
And next it it they have ol' crazy Huckabee...it's just such a contrast.
And maybe he is right...maybe he can unite this country after all the ugliness of the GOP hatred that they have  sowed since Ronald Reagan, and that truly exploded in 1992.
    Has America finally seen that?
The horror Bush and Company has burped up on us.
That they have soiled us all.
BO looks so young. So different from the tired, old, fat, GOP.
    As do John and Elizabeth.
They just all look so good.

I've always stated I was a JE first supporter, BO a close second.
I have donated to both, and have voiced my support for both.
But I guess your heart leans a little bit more one way than the other.
I grew to love the EENR community.
    So that has not changed.
I was, and am, hurting a lot tonight.
    Not that anything is over!
    But I feel okay again.

And  I hate the press with a passion.
    Especially Tweety and Company.
But to hear them gushing over Obama - and they were - my god were they gushing -
At first I was what is this?
But then I was like no. This is awesome.
Finally they're all but ignoring the pathetic GOP candidates , and laying it on thick for the Democrats.
It just felt odd. And though I have no respect for them, I still liked it.

I'm still going to support John Edwards.
I will do what I can in NJ.
I won't stop until he does.
Maybe he'll stop at the White House.
    Maybe he won't.
    I dunno.

My two choices came in the first two spots.
    It's all good. .
    Just like you said.

    Beautiful diary too.
    Just beautiful.

    •  And so is this comment, Christin. (0+ / 0-)

I haven't been following the caucuses--my father is seriously ill and I've been shuttling back and forth 200 miles to the hospital every other day--but this comment to me speaks to the confusion, hope, and determination that the supporters of ALL the Democratic candidates feel.

We're all being whipsawed, and after six years of a criminal administration it almost feels strange to hope again. We're not quite sure how to handle it. So we prepare ourselves for more disappointment, or armor ourselves against it by lashing out a little too forcefully against challengers.

I really feel that we will steamroller over anything and anyone the Repugs throw at us this time. It'll be ugly, but we'll keep going.
