Will someone somewhere have a sex based bias against Hillary, of course....but the implication that anyone who criticizes her viability or recognizes the perhaps unfair yet perhaps true notion that her personality will be a national issue to deal with....that irritates me.

Not all of us are sexists, but there's an uphill battle to fight by suggesting that all we have to do is change long-standing cultural reality between now and November, or between now and the primary deadlines that follow.

viability.  See my above comment to gsbadj for what I mean.

If you want to go with the most electable in the general election, without a doubt that would be John Edwards as a white man.  I don't think Edwards is going to make it to the nomination, so you might as well prepare yourself for dealing with the cultural reality of a female or black candidate.

"as it should be" was intended to respond to another....I completely agree with the idea that, fair or not, we've gotta have a pragmatic look at the cultural reality and think more in terms of offsetting biases than changing them.

Yea, there is some truly disgusting commentary coming out from some posters here, but what we see on Kos is only indicative of what either nominee faces in the real world and/or a general election.
