As opposed to what?  Saying at the party's annual convention nominating John Kerry that he made the biggest foreign policy mistake of his Senate career?

Yeah, I'm sure that would've been a great idea.

was wrong he should have stood by that.  Why does he get to have a double standard?  My position has been the same over the last few years and I think it is the right one: There is room for legitimate differences of opinion.  Obama and his supporters want that for his health plan and other things, so why should they refuse  to do something Barack was willing to do four years ago and allow for Hillary to have a difference of opinion?  Oh no, can't have that.  She is the evil warmonger and there is no other way for it to be for many Obama supporters.

      •  Look, this is ridiculous. If she minced words (0+ / 0-)

for John Kerry's sake I don't think anyone would be holding that against her.  You're comparing apples and oranges.

Obama spoke out against the AUMF but knows that he might have voted for it if he had been in office because it isn't as black or white as many on the left, rather smugly I might add, want to make it to be.  But he is willing to skip over the fact that he might have voted for it too in order to be the "anti-war" candidate.  He is accepting the oversimplification and the soundbyte mentality instead of acknowledging that it is more complicated than can be explained in a soundbyte.  And I think that is disingenuous on his part.
