    * If our founders were so Christian and had such goals as making this a Christian nation, they had the pen and the paper to make it so. They did not. They chose not to for a reason, and that reason is that freedom to choose a god for yourself is more important than the god you choose.

    * There will be no objection to anyone who personally abandons modern science, or defies what science has revealed about our past. However, those who do so will be forced to do so in public, on the record, and such records will be diligently maintained (like a cross between a driver's license and an insurance card) so that when modern science yields more benefits to mankind, those who forsake it shall not be eligible to recieve any such benefits. This will be rigidly enforced forwardly, and people of such faith should be grateful that we don't make it retroactive. God did not provide the health and convenience you enjoy today, science an engineering did. Religion has assailed science and called it evil because it contradicts (G)od and the Bible for 2000 years. Those who insist we should not trust science now can demonstrate their conviction to their faith by surrendering what science has delivered to mankind in the intervening years since the churches of the world first had the idea science is evil. (caves will be set up in desolate western states, and you can all start over on your own). The Amish are granted an exemption since they at least demonstrate a good faith effort to exemplify their own message in practical terms.

    * The next Christian who calls atheism a religion will be forced to prove it. For if it is a pejorative insult to be a religion, Atheists most certainly agree, which is why we have not adopted any.

The words "Atheist" and "Secular" may be the demon of the day to the fundies, but if we all staged a walk out of American society, we could shut this country down in ways that would utterly shame the power of every union every formed. If the fundies think we should not be included in the government of our own society, it's time we prove this.

George Orwell is banging on the lid of his coffin and screaming, "1984 was a cautionary tale, you dolts, not a motivational speech!"
